WORKING MOTHER MAGAZINE SPECIAL SECTION | OPENER
I created the look and the color palette for this long section (I used the “Modify" mode in Effects
to create the transparency effect, for you InDesign geeks) and designed most of the pages.
WORKING MOTHER MAGAZINE SPECIAL SECTION | SPREAD
A spread of stats! One of my favorite things to do.
AT&T | BILLSTUFFERS
These little brochures came with phone bills, so who knows whether anyone looked at them before
pitching them in the trash. The first one was more conceptual—your phone as a boarding pass to adventure
and travel—the others were more about taking AT&T’s brand elements and creating fun scenes.
CANY | BROCHURE FOR BUILDING CONSULTANT FIRM (1/2)
This brochure folded into six vertical panels, a skyscraper, if you will.
The name was a little anonymous so I came up with the tagline “smart about buildings.”
CANY | BROCHURE FOR BUILDING CONSULTANT FIRM (2/2)
There are times when you need to step back and let the photograph do all the work.
PLEASE DON'T BE WAITING FOR ME | COVER FOR NOVEL
The style for this murder mystery is a confluence its Punk milieu (high-contrast photo of Doc Martens
and the mangled type treatment) and hardboiled noir.
FUNKY BOLLYWOOD | BOOK (1/2) FAB Press 2015
Splashy, colorful, a little cartoony, over the top:
that’s Bollywood action films of the 1970s and that’s what I went for.
FUNKY BOLLYWOOD | BOOK (2/2)
A couple of sample spreads. Trying to stay elegant while cramming
in as many graphic elements and colors as I could.
THE SECRET DIAGRAMS OF MANTIS FIST | BOOK, Cultural Gutter Press 2016
This book was kind of an in-joke (based on search terms for non-existent diagrams—
never mind, you had to be there), a parody of kung fu manuals, sent out as a perk for
a crowd-sourced CulturalGutter.com project.
LUMINOSITY POROSITY | FLYER FOR ARCHITECTURE DOCUMENTARY
The type captures the, er, luminosity and the perspective of Steven Holl's work and meshes with the image.
The dark figure adds a hint of human intrigue.
